Chilo (El Grito de Poetas) drops “Eyes Opened,” a smooth, positive-vibed track produced by Harlem’s Segnon.

We’re always looking for songs that seek to spread an uplifting message, and “Eyes Opened” fits the bill. “Eyes Opened,” built off of a jazzy sample from 4Hero’s “Morning Child” shines a much-needed brightness on otherwise darkened, turbulent times.

We’ll be on the lookout for Chilo’s upcoming projects, including three planned 2015 releases: Stay Alive with Bronx-based producer MRB, CNI with Jersey City producer DJ IRS and Magician’s Revenge, featuring Queens-based MC/producer Mane Event.
