Raekwon assembles the past 20 weeks worth of his ThrowbackThursday offerings in one package, serving up a musical Halloween treat

For the past 20 some-odd weeks, Raekwon the Chef has been dishing out bite-sized appetizers of his timeless flow over some of soul music’s most recognized and revered classic songs. As a special Halloween treat, the Wu-Tang Clan veteran serves them all up as a main course collection, We Wanna Thank You: ThrowbackThursday Series, Vol. 1

The tracks, which have all been made available one by one (except for the last drop, a twofer) and finds Raekwon spitting over classic soul and R&B tracks like “I Wanna Thank You,” “Wishing on a Star,” “All Night Long” and more.

Normally, we’re not too impressed with the I’mma-drop-a-new-song-every-twenty-seven-minute series that some artists try and pull off, but most would agree that these combinations of classic tracks with Raekwon’s classic style, are well worth the eartime.
