CharlieRED – GreenGREED (Song + Video)

Blues meets hip hop as CharlieRED (beatsmith Cobaine Ivory and crooner Rocki Evans) combine to deliver “GreenGREED,” a tune slathered in face-scrunching, gritty hotness.

Picture Curtis Mayfield over modern-day banging tracks. Picture whatever you want, but if you’re anything like me, you’ll have this on repeat for a while.

“GreenGREED” is the first track from the duo’s upcoming release MUSE, slated for an August 20 release. It is also the first song since their 2012 release Religon EP (available on iTunes).

This was sent to me on June 25, and while my backlog is unending and often overwhelming, it is a discovery like this that makes me happy I save old emails for review.
