Raekwon drops the partially animated counterpart to the sonically animated “Shaolin vs Wu-Tang,” the title track from The Chef’s upcoming project. The video, directed by Konee Rok, features a hybrid of cartoon martial artistry with live action of Raekwon laying down his vocals.
It’s pretty well done, and just frantic enough to match the agitation of the track, which was produced by Scram Jones. Director Konee Rok, a former B-Boy and whose past video projects includes working with Kanye West, Rhymefest and Common.
Raekwon’s Shaolin vs Wu-Tang is due to be available March 8, and is expected to feature collaborations with Nas, Black Thought, Lloyd Banks, Busta Rhymes, Havoc and fellow Wu-Tangers Method Man, Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Killah and GZA, among others.
Video is well done. Song is hot. Can’t really say much else. Chef keeps cooking.
