Saigon sits down for an in-depth interview with Hardknock TV, speaking on his label woes with Atlantic Records, his upcoming anticipated release The Greatest Story Never Told, Entourage, Jay-Z and Just Blaze.
In the interview, Saigon speaks on Jay-Z snatching up Saigon beat choices from Just Blaze, telling an interesting story about Jay paying him back.
It’s usually interesting to hear artists who are signed to labels speak on the varying issues that plague artists in today’s music industry, as Saigon has often spoken regarding his setbacks with Atlantic, a label he worked to get released from. Just goes to show unsigned artists, the grass isn’t always greener.
Anyway, it’s a bit of Inside Baseball, but we think somewhat of a valuable look behind the scenes of a journeyman artist still trying to maintain relevancy in a changing game.
