Quesfire – Re Up [VIDEO] (Prod: Kajmir Royale, Dir: feleciacruz, Edit: Spills)

While the word “grind” can be as overused as “swag” these days, Quesfire (a.k.a. Ques) grinds. From the street of the Bronx throughout the boroughs, Quesfire leaves a heated stage wherever he touches down, delivering a high-energy performance whenever we’ve seen him grip the mic.

As he readies his next mixtape project, Quesfire drops a feleciacruz-directed, Spills-edited video as a taste of what he has in store. “Re Up,” is a synth-heavy, hard-edged headnodder produced by Kajmir Royale, allowing Ques to spit sharp braggadocio flows at a tempo right in his wheelhouse.

Our contributing writer A.D. The General spoke with Ques early last year, after his February win at the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program monthly showcase. When asked back then what he was trying to get across with his music, Quesfire replied, “Skills and passion to your music. Good content over great production.What we been missing for so long.”

Ques obviously has the passion, and “Re Up” demonstrates that he has stayed on track with his vision. We’ll be keeping an eye out for his upcoming mixtape release.
