As we hoped, Lauryn Hill is in fact going to be at this year’s Rock The Bells 2010 Festival, presented by Guerilla Union. Ms. Hill was just announced, in addition to New York veteran group A Tribe Called Quest, Snoop Dogg and DJ Premier, one half of legendary group Gang Starr, to lead a special tribute to his late MC partner, Guru. This year, artists will be performing their seminal albums, in their entirety.

Lauryn Hill, ATCQ, Snoop and Primo join other hip hop luminairies already announced for the four city tour, including Rakim, the Wu-Tang Clan and Slick Rick, along with other formidable talent like Immortal Technique, The Clipse, Wiz Khalifa, Murs & 9th Wonder, Jedi Mind Tricks, DJ Muggs and Ill Bill, Big Sean, Brother Ali and Yelawolf.
The Rock The Bells festival is in its seventh year, and will make only four stops, as opposed to many more cities in previous years. The festival will visit:
San Bernadino – NOS Events Center – (Aug. 21)
San Francisco – Shoreline Amphitheater (Aug. 22)
New York – Governer’s Island (Aug. 28)
Columbia, MD – Merriweather Pavilion (Aug. 29)
