Mike Millz – All Eyes On Me [Audio]

We witnessed Mike Millz rocking at an Elegant Hoodness Musical Program showcase late last year, and his performance was strong, “winner” of the night if we recall correctly. We noticed his energetic and charasmatic command of the stage, and made sure to remember this Far Rockaway MC.

So, today, in going through the backlog of music submissions in the BirthplaceMag.com inbox, we came across “All Eyes On Me”, a Mike Millz joint making its way around. It’s been sitting with us for a couple of weeks, but better late than never, right? Plus, if you haven’t heard it yet, well then we can call it a brand new exclusive then, can’t we?

Anyway, “All Eyes On Me” is a slow rolling, Curtis Mayfield-inspired sonic trip through a few of Millz’ trials, tribulations, brags and boasts. We recall a very energetic performance in real life, so while this is definitely a fine reintroduction to Millz, it’s a little laid back, and we’re eager to also hear something more along the lines of the uptempo fervor we saw at the Bowery Ballroom that night.
