Cory Gunz – Gettin Money

Ok, we’re not always gonna just post stuff we like and nice things about NY artists.

We like Cory Gunz, the rapid-fire barrage style that he delivers can stop you dead in your tracks. He’s got a decent mixtape buzz, couple of leaks, and a medium-level underground profile that could position him nicely.

Going for the “out-of-NY” market, musically, is not uncommon. But this is an awfully boring pandering to the Dirty Dirty. And we are not anti-Southern-music, we are simply pro-NY, so we don’t mind a gritty bows-throwing banger. This is not one of them.

We do believe Gunz has potential, we just think he went off and Plaxico’d himself on this one.
