When The Rain Stops, Big Wayde Through The Water

(OK, that’s a really clever post title, you gotta admit). Anyway, Big Wayde hails from White Plains, and we just got to checking his lead single “What Have They Done To You”, off of his When The Rain Stopped mixtape (now you really see how clever the post title is). It’s not a bad joint, smooth, pimpish track, rock-ish guitar riffing on the Yelawolf-vocalized break, and a gruff voiced, but oh-so-sensitive Wayde, promising [shorty] that he’s a good man, despite the pressures of his stardom. His voice is Rick-Ross-ish, without the southern drawl (BAWSE!) and while he didn’t absolutely win us over with one joint, the production and slick mixtape-cover art, and the overall quality led us to want to hear more and investigate further. It might do the same for you.
