So this morning, while dancing around the internets seeking the nicest in NYC-area rap goodness our thought process was this:

a) Hm.. Jim Jones pleaded guilty to assault [HipHopDX]… Well, it’s yesterday’s news already for us, and not really big enough news to warrant regurgitating… Plus we beat EVERY hip-hop site with the Method Man news yesterday… So let’s not look like slackers today…

b) Joell Ortiz “Brooklyn Girls” mini-song (I refuse to call it a “freestyle” like everyone else seems to now call anything that is not a full song)… [listens]… Hm.. Not his best stuff… We’ll pass… [2DopeBoyz]

c) Affluent Records signs Madam Biggz… Who is she? [listens to her MySpace]… Eh. We’ll pass on this too…

d) Hm.. Joell Ortiz again. Another cut off of his upcoming Road Kills mixtape (apparently all recorded on the road. Ah. I get it!) This one, “This Child”, is better. Ok, Joell. You win. [NahRight]
