Fat Joe: “The Darkside” Release Party, Hot 97 “Who’s Next Live” at SOBs

Fat Joe will be celebrating the release of The Darkside, Vol. 1 on Tuesday, July 27 at SOBs, in conjunction with Hot 97, RapRadar.com and Intrigue Liquors. Also occurring, Hot 97′s “Who’s Next” showcase series, which highlights up-and-coming artists from the tri-state area and beyond.

The Darkside is receiving good buzz thanks to singles “If It Ain’t About Money,” featuring Trey Songz and “Ha Ha (Slow Down),” featuring Young Jeezy. We recently posted up “Heavenly Father,” featuring Lil Wayne, and while Don Cartagena may need the help of these artists to stregnthen his songs, the result have been, somewhat surprisingly, pretty effective.

Word is that The Darkside has leaked, so we’ll see how the numbers pan out, but artistically, it may be one of the better efforts in Fat Joe’s long career.
