Props To Hip Hop, an exciting, live band-backed, rap cover concert series continues with 'Battle of the Boroughs,' a tribute to the history of The Big Apple's contributions to hip hop history. Borough pride will be strong, as some of NYC's best and brightest underground MCs will be judged by a panel which includes the great Jean Grae, The Daily Show's Wyatt Cenac, the folks from RapGenius.com and Birthplace Magazine founder Manny Faces.

For one night, 1987 hip hop was back in NYC, as more than 25 rappers and musicians gave 'Props To Hip Hop,' performing the latest in a series of live band tributes to hip hop icons. This one, a March 24, 2012 recreation of the groundbreaking 'Together Forever' tour, featured MCs performing as Public Enemy, the Beastie Boys and Run-DMC, to the delight of hundreds of hip hop heads who packed Hiro Ballroom.
