I’m not sure what you meant by “Pledging people to donate liberally”. Did you mean asking people to donate liberally? I think the concert idea is good but there’s one problem. K. Herc is sick now and fighting for his life. Producing and promoting a concert involves a lot of moving parts and takes precious time that K.H may not have. How would you feel if your mother was gravely ill and someone suggested that you give them all of her recipes in exchange for a donation? Here’s the twist, it will take you two months, maybe more to gather the recipes but your mother might not have two months to live. Ultimately you are suggesting that people not donate and only pay for concert tickets which means that buying a concert ticket could mean donating to K.Herc`s funeral. Step back for a second and be less selfish. K.H had red blood flowing through his veins just like you and me. My question to you is, what does his job title have to do with his very real need for medical attention? Concert? I’m a regular guy that grew up listening to K.H and think he deserves Medical Treatment and not exploitation of his talents.
