Cleveland police are seeking a grand jury indictment of a member of the rap group Run-DMC following allegations from a woman who said she was raped by the performer. An indictment by a Cuyahoga County grand jury would allow authorities to seek the extradition of Joseph (Run) Simmons, 25, of New York.

An arrest warrant for Simmons was issued Thursday following allegations made by a 22-year-old woman who claims Simmons raped her in his hotel room following an Aug. 9 performance as part of Cleveland’s UrbanFest.
