Saigon, the hip hop journeyman who became known to mainstream America with his role on the HBO series Entourage, released his long-awaited and highly anticipated album The Greatest Story Never Told, marked the occasion with a Feb. 14 video performance of the Just Blaze-produced title track for the Hip Hop Nation channel on Sirius/XM satellite radio. The good fellas at Good*Fella Media were there to capture the event.
The story might never had been told, as Saigon has faced an ongoing set of delays and business-related setbacks, making his return to the scene both eagerly awaited by fans. In an interview with Hard Knock TV earlier this year, Saigon suggests that aside from the album, the small screen might again be in the works, with a return to Entourage possible.
The Greatest Story Never Told is available as of today (Feb. 15), and features production by Just Blaze and Kanye West, and appearances by Q-Tip, Faith Evans, Swizz Beatz and Jay-Z. All signs so far have pointed to this being an extremely solid project.
Hip Hop Nation will replay the in-studio listening session on Saturday, February 19 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, February 20 at 6 p.m.
