Lloyd Banks Documentary: Lloyd Banks “On The Road To HFM2″ To Air Via uStream

Lloyd Banks, named one of October’s “5 Reasons Why New York Hip Hop Doesn’t Suck” has been maintaining a respected level of creative output in recent times, and has built a bit of a buzz for his upcoming Hunger For More 2 album, due out November 22 (along with Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday). Catering somewhat to different crowds, both albums should gain a bit of just-in-time-for-the-holidays sales as Lloyd Banks continues to try and emerge from the shadows of 50 Cent.

Lloyd Banks Hunger For More 2 Cover ArtSince his breakout hit “Beamer, Benz or Bentley” early this year, Lloyd Banks has worked to establish himself as an A-list star in his own right, and while nothing he’s released since then matches the appeal or viral success of “BBorB”, Banks has released a stream of songs in recent weeks, both freebies as well as leaks from the upcoming album, most notably, “Start It Up,” featuring music heavyweights Kanye West, Swizz Beatz, Fabolous and Ryan Leslie.

Lloyd Banks, who has already released a behind-the-scenes clip of the making of “Start It Up” will culminate his video promotions in On The Road to HFM2, a documentary that will be streamed live Thursday, Nov. 24 on his Lloyd Banks uStream channel starting at 7 p.m.

Should be interesting. As we stated in our “5 Reasons” writeup, “In the mainstream rap scene among those tough-guy rap types who spit that grimy, money, rap star talk, Lloyd Banks is currently cruising along, and could enjoy a bit of a run at the front of that pack.”

We’ll see. On The Road to HFM2 should give a better idea of whether this is likely. Tune in. First video, the making of “Start It Up” clip, second video will show the stream as it happens, starting at 7 p.m. on Nov. 24.
