As we hinted when we first brought you “Night Train,” one of the latest collaborations between Brooklyn beast Joell Ortiz and soulful crooner Novel, there was indeed a video forthcoming. Ortiz’ vocal and visual tribute to the blue collar working man began making the rounds today.
Joell Ortiz drops the video for “Night Train,” as he continues a nationwide tour to support his upcoming Yaowa! mixtape and Free Agent album. We were at the inaugural stop on that tour, covering his performance as well as several talented up and comers on September 30, at Southpaw in Ortiz’ home borough of Brooklyn.
The video for “Night Train” which was shot in monsoon-like conditions by Derek Pike of Three/21 Media, was also executive produced by veteran video director Rik Cordero.
