50 Cent continues to expand his multimedia empire, securing $200 million in funding in a deal with he and Randall Emmett’s Cheetah Vision Films and George Furla’s Hedge Fund Film Partners to finance ten films, the first of which, Set Up will star 50 Cent and possibly Paul Walker, of Fast and the Furious fame.
The deal, announced in Variety and on ThisIs50.com, was signed with several finance heavyweights, with ThisIs50.com stating that “healthcare magnate Richard Jackson, real estate developer Gary Sakwa and Daniel Ret will provide the equity remainder of the fund.”
The movies will be distributed through Grindstone/Lionsgate. It is expected that the deal will produce four to five films per year. Set Up is scheduled to begin filming next month.

Every negative is a postive. The bad things that happen to me, I somehow make them good. That means you can’t do anything to hurt me. Page 75 -The 50th Law by 50 Cent
I’m going back over 50′s book again. A lot of people talk about doing. Love him or hate him. Fifty is doing what he visualized on the streets hustling.(He said he could …see back then his empire) He just added $200 million to help build his empire.
I don’t think it’ll sell and what’s with the “10 films” o.O like is 50 going to keep doing a movie one after the other, people are going to be sick of that. I understand 2 or 3 in a row but not 10!
I don’t even think 50 Cents movie will bring up more than 3/4th of what they cost to be honest, but then again I could be wrong.
Healthcare executive Richard Jackson and real estate developers Gary Sakwa and Daniel Ret will not get that money returned back in profits. 10 straight to DVD financial disasters.
$200 mill for 10 movies aint really that much these days. RZA just got $20 for 1 picture and most of Fif’s movies are straight to DVD.
