Reek Da Villian – Freestyle [Video]

Even though we just posted up Reek The Villian’s “Mechanics” joint with Busta Rhymes & Swizz Beatz the other day, and I usually like to spread out our artists a bit more, I’m going to quickly throw up another Reek post since I personally rep Strong Island, and since he making a lil’ local splash out around there.

Reek is being pushed by Busta, and is affiliated with the I Am Strong Island movement, a loose collective of artists and promoters, eminating from the Central Station retail establishment in Freeport. (Shouts to DC, Craig, Nicole @ KeyCole Ent.)

Now, just because Reek an’ ‘nem are from around (one of) my way(s), doesn’t mean I won’t be impartial. If one checks the comment over at RapRadar’s post on the same freestyle, one will notice the criticism of Busta’s business acumen, some wondering, rightfully so, what happened with Roc Marciano, another promising Long Island artist, one who is also on our radar.

(Actually, we’re gonna try and find out. We’ll be catching up with Roc soon.)

In the meantime, we don’t think any of that has anything to do with Reek, who’s clever with the punchlines, and got a flow worth checking. While it’s hard for anyone to follow the fiyah (“Battle Cry”) Joell Ortiz just dropped, it’s worth keeping an eye on Reek’s progress.
