We recently wrote up The ILLZ‘ “Turpentine Weed” video, which was part of the In Between Video Series, directed by Kristopher Rey-Talley. In this series, songs and videos were released simultaneously, leading up to a full package to be delivered on August 24, and presented by OnSmash, 2DopeBoyz and YouHeardThatNew.
“Ode To New York” is one of the final releases before that project is presented in it’s entireity, an “intentionally simple and straightforward” video where The ILLZ professes his love for the city that never sleeps. As homages go, this one is pretty sweet sounding. Normally, we wouldn’t one-two you with the same artist, considering there are tons we haven’t gotten to yet, but it IS an ode to NY, and that’s kinda what we do here.
Be sure to cop the full In Between Video Series project August 24. Visit www.theILLZ.com for more on the artist.
