Rock The Bells 2010, the popular multi-city hip hop music festival, begins its run this weekend, starting with a Saturday showing at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, California and Sunday at the Shoreline Amplitheater in San Francisco. Following shows will take place on August 28, on Governors Island, New York and August 29 at the Merriweather Post Pavillion in Washington, DC.
Tickets for the shows, including the New York Rock The Bells event can be purchased through Tickeyfly.
This year’s festivals are highly anticipated, in part due to the orchestration (several high-profile acts will be performing their seminal albums in their entireity) as well as a return to the limelight for Lauryn Hill, the multiple Grammy-award winning ex-Fugees member, who’s self-imposed exile for many years left a hole in many hip hop and R&B fans.
Other notable performers include Snoop Dogg, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan, Rakim, KRS-One, Slick Rick, DJ Premier, Murs, 9th Wonder, Clipse, Immortal Technique, Wiz Kalifa with many more also expected.
