Nicki Minaj sat down with Billboard for a fairly detailed live Q&A chat about her past, present and future, and the good folks at Billboard were kind enough to archive the interview for those of us/you who might have missed it.
Among the topics covered, Minaj’s Pink Friday album (due out in November), coping with her newfound fame, Lil’ Wayne, Judge Judy, and whether she is interested in moving into the fashion world. Her conversational style is a bit unpolished, but we enjoyed the honest feel of it. Her for-no-good-reason British accent appears out of nowhere while questions submitted by twitterers were posed from the host, but so what?
I know. Maybe it’s just me, but I loved it. Regardless how you feel about her music, she is an entertainingly intriguing woman, and I think that is hard to deny.
In any event, Nicki Minaj spends a bit of time speaking on where she would be if not rapping, what she does in her spare time, her favorite TV show of all freakin’ time, and why the girl from Harry Potter would be in her all-female supergroup.
Nothing groundbreakingly deep here, just an interesting look at one of the more interesting artists of the day.
The interview, split into six parts, is below.
