Last month, we published a write up on N.A.N, a two-person group consisting of A.D. The General and Gifted. The duo recently released the video for their song “My Pad, My Pen,” a joint off their Millertime street album, which features fellow Brooklyn artist G3mz.
A.D. The General (who is also a contributor to BirthplaceMag.com) is the head of the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program, a showcase series that has been ongoing in the NYC area for five years, and has recently branched out into New Jersey, and even as far away as Missouri. The showcase competition allows performers to not only demonstrate their skills in front of a live audience, but gives winners the opportunity to appear in several on- and off-line publications, including BirthplaceMag.com, a sponsor of the Program.
A.D.’s organization are staging a series of NYC-area park performances for their yearly Elegant Hoodness Park Tour. Those interested in sponsoring the events or performing on the tour or in the NYC showcases, are urged to contact A.D. The General at 718-415-6610 or by email at eleganthoodness@gmail.com.
Here is the video from the UMA-nominated (Best Rap Duo) N.A.N.’s “My Pad, My Pen”.
