Kwan Lee, producer, artist, videographer and NYC hip hop grinder, recently released I Warned You EP, a follow up to his previous mixtape release The People vs. Kwan Lee and a precursor to its sequel, The People vs. Kwan Lee 2. The EP, is available as a free download.
We’ve featured Kwan Lee’s work before, both as a solo artist, and projects that he has been a producer on, and we respect his hustle. The NYC hip hop underground can be a segmented one, almost clique-ish at times. But if the NYC hip hop scene was drawn as a Venn diagram, there would be a small portion of people or organizations, that would sit in the area of overlapping circles, and we find that Kwan Lee is one of them.
Present at most major NYC-area hip hop events, either filming for his blog/vlog, www.KwanLee.net, working a table to sell his wares, or just being in the house to support others in the game, if you’re out and about in the NY rap world, you’ll see Kwan Lee.
As they say, get familiar.
The I Warned You EP is executive produced by Elus (of the group Triboro, stay tuned for more on them) and Kwan Lee, who produced all the tracks.
