Joell Ortiz “Call Me” Live At Funkmaster Flex Show + “Profile” Interview With Dee Vazquez [Video]

Joell Ortiz took to the stage at the Legends of Hip Hop concert/Funkmaster Flex birthday celebration, among a variety of New York-centric artists, including Camron, C.N.N., and a rare appearance by Ja Rule. We’ll have a full recap of the event up soon by our own Steven “No Relation” Ortiz, who was in the house for the show, but for now, check out Steven’s video of one of our June “Reasons Why NY Hip Hop Doesn’t Suck” performing the song that should have launched his career.

Also, check out the recent freestyles Ortiz dropped, one, over Rakim’s “I Ain’t No Joke,” and one over Miguel and J. Cole’s “All I Want Is You.”

And if that’s not enough Yaowa! for you, check out Dee Vazquez’ interview series, “Profile,” which just profiled Mr. Ortiz. We also interviewed the interviewer recently ourselves, as A.D. The General sat down with Dee Vazquez.

And check back with BirthplaceMag.com for photos and more from the event.
