So the internets were all abuzz yesterday with leaks, and snippits, and radio rips of the Rick Ross/Jay-Z collaboration, “Free Mason,” off of the upcoming Rick Ross release Teflon Don. We chose to wait until the dust settled and there was a nice CDQ available (shouts to 2DopeBoyz, where we copped it from).
Thankfully, this song didn’t have the buildup/letdown factor as the last highly anticipated Jay-Z collaboration “Under Pressure,” with Dr. Dre.
In this case, we’re not going to try and analyze any possible meanings behind any meanings. Musically, with John Legend on the hook, and a smooth Inkredibles track, this is a very listenable joint.
I’ll honest, I’m a former Rick Ross hater, but this dude has been stepping his game up lately. Hasn’t completely won me over, but he’s dropping listenable stuff… Whatev. Enjoy the track. Oh, and below is a clip from a documentary supposed to come with Teflon Don where the two speak about the collabo.

I have to say that I am truly impressed with this Jay Z/Rick Ross colloboration. For what it is, John Legend on the hook and the musical talents of The Inkredibles, I am convienced that this is what’s happenening.
