Nicki Minaj – Ice Cream Man [New Music]

Nicki Minaj, still riding the success of “Your Love,” (and the Rick Ross-verse version) has a new treat circulating the webternets this morning, “Ice Cream Man,” a leak from the Young Money HD Lime Light Exclusives mixtape.

This Zaytoven-produced stabbing-synth, slow-mo flowed joint is a lot less ingenious, both musically and lyrically, than some of her other efforts, but also isn’t full of her bizarre voice changes and mannerisms that some find to be irritating. A compromise, we suppose.

Personally, we would like to hear creative-lyrical Nicki meet no-crazy-voices Nicki and see what happens. This isn’t the track for that. It’s a track for the 106 & Park crowd.

The version acquired through Hip-Hop-N-More has a couple of tags sprinkled over the cut, but swing on over to Young Money HD for the mixtape itself.
