New York City is filled with talent showcases, providing stages for up and coming artists and music hopefuls, but few opportunities exist out on Strong Island. Light Up Long Island is a new talent showcase being organized by the White Light Music Group that hopes to change that, and their first auditions are coming up July 10th and 11th out on Strong Island.
The showcase, to be held on August 21, is open to all musical genres, but is hip hop friendly, and offers a prize package including free recording studio time from White Light Studios.
Auditions are to be held July 10th and 11th at 565 Broad Hollow Rd., in Farmingdale and starts early, 7am (!). There is a registration fee, $25/$30, depending, so check with their site before heading over, to make sure you’re covered. The website for all details is www.whitelightmusicgroup.com/showcase.
