Joell Ortiz (one of our “5 Reasons why NY Hip Hop Doesn’t Suck“) grabs Slaughterhouse partner Joe Budden and “Call Me” crooner Novel for “We Don’t Believe You,” from Ortiz’ very dope Me, Myself & I mixtape, and enlists Rik Cordero (Three/21 Media) for the video, a combination of a storyline and performance footage.
The track itself is a frantic-paced tribute to those ballers and rhymers in the game who may be a bit less-than-honest.
That happens? We’re shocked. Shocked!
Ortiz continues to hold hip hop’s attention as he leads up to the (eventual) release of Free Agent, while Budden, when not jumping from girlfriend-turned-model-grilfriend to model-kinda-girlfriend, is peddling his book Enter The Mind Joe Budden, and should be releasing The Great Escape soon thereafter. He recently went on Star & Buc Wild’s (internet) radio show and talked about some of his beefs, the book and, of course, a bit about Tahiry.
For the record. We don’t care about Tahiry or Somaya Reece or who else Budden is banging (or not banging, as the case may be). Just keep working with cats like Joell Ortiz. Y’all bring out the best in each other.
