2DopeBoyz: A (2)DopeMixtape: Empire State Edition + Leaks

The good blogger folkz over at 2DopeBoyz.com are putting out an all-NYC mixtape, A (2)DopeMixtape: Empire State Edition, and while it’s obviously something we have thought of doing, they’ve been around longer, are a respectable site, are generally good judges of music, and we’re very much non-blogger-hating, NY-area hip hop advocates, so we are always excited for a project that highlights the talented NY-area scene, regardless of the source.

A 2DopeMixtape: Empire State EditionThis Dallas Penn-hosted, DJ Slimm-mixed project in particular, according the 2DB, “will feature the likes of Torae, Skyzoo, CurT@!n$, Emilio Rojas, Sha Stimuli, The Lessondary, Sene, Brown Bag AllStars, Chaundon, K. Sparks, Nero, ESSO, Donny Goines, Fresh Daily, P.SO, Punchline & Wordsworth and many more”.

That’s good stuff.

So, we are happy to pass along to you the first two leaks from the project. The first, “That’s What Happens” by Tonedeff and PackFM was produced by Algorythm, and the latest leak, “The Agenda,” by Brown Bag AllStars was produced by J57. Good songs, talented artists and New York. That combination will find a home on our e-pages all the time.

Stay tuned to 2DopeBoyz.com for (presumably) more leaks, a (hopefully soon) release date and more info on the project.
