To keep New York area hip hop the prime editorial focus of this site, we have to keep our ear to the streets, learn who is making moves in the underground. Sometimes, this is easy. New York artists are web savvy, there are nearly dozens of shows and showcases a month in the underground circuit, and now that we’ve gotten our own little reputation for spotlighting the NYC-area underground, we’re getting more and more submissions.
But still, it’s a lot of research. If only someone could just give us a bunch of names, a rundown of some of the upcoming artists we need to be keeping an eye out for. Of course, that’s supposed to be OUR job, but the area is so filled with talent, we want to make sure we don’t miss anyone. It’d be great of someone would just put together a list. Hey, you know what would be cool? Make a rhyme out of it! And not just a rambling of names, work it into a little story, and work the names like little puns, little plays on words. That would be clever. If only someone would do….
Oh. Wait. Someone has!
