Jay-Z will be staying in his Yankee fitted state of mind, as he and Eminem will co-headline the first concert to be held at the new Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. The concert is scheduled for September 13, 2010.

Jay-Z, whose single “Empire State of Mind” with Alicia Keys became a New York City and New York Yankees anthem, is continuing to ride the success of his career longevity, his latest album, Blueprint III, as well as other prominent New York area appearances, most notable his 9/11/09 benefit concert for the families of the NYPD and NYFD.

Slim Shady will be undoubtedly crusing along on the buzz that usually follows his releases, as his album Recovery will be hitting stores June 22.

The concert will follow their first joint-ballpark-appearance, as the two will first perform together at Detroit’s Comerica Park on September 2, before christening the concert stage as the new house that Ruth Jeter Mariano Rivera Steinbrenner built. Ticket will go on sale “shortly”.
