New Busta Rhymes – Stop The Party (feat. Swizz Beatz)

Busta Rhymes and Swizz Beatz team up again to “Stop The Party”, dropping their somewhat anticipated collabo from the Iron Man 2 soundtrack. The buzzy, staggered drum track features an energetic-as-usual Busta, and is receiving generally good buzz on the webternets.

Our criticism is that we are getting a bit tired of Swizz’ style of “chorus” and adlibs, and this track could use more Bussa Buss, less Mr. Keys, at least on the verbal tip. Still, a pretty catchy joint. We’ve always thought of Swizz is somewhat of a sonic hypnotist. A lot of times, we usually miss the musical point at first listen, but after a bit, sink into headnodding trance with many of his constructions. (With the glaring exception of “On To The Next One”, off Jay-Z’s BPIII – Can’t get into that one at all!)…

“Stop The Party” will probably be no different, and we expect this will have the same pretty-heavy-in-the-club effect as previous collabs between the two.
