Peter Rosenberg’s Noisemakers With Pete Rock

Peter Rosenberg (Hot-97) has emerged as a Hip Hop James Lipton with his semi-regular “Noisemakers” series, on stage, one-one-one interview and musical tributes with rap luminaries such as Talib Kweli, Raekwon, Bun B and DJ Premier. Tonight, Rosenberg sits down with legendary hip hop producer Pete Rock.

The series, held at the 92Y Tribeca facility at 200 Hudson St., New York, NY (with the exception of last month’s event with Bun B, which was held in Austin during SXSW), with tonight’s episode (4/7) beginning at 7:00pm.

Pete Rock’s extensive history, both as part of pioneering rap group Pete Rock & CL Smooth, and as a solo producer and remixer,  should provide fascinating discussion. Noisemaker events are relatively small, intimate and filled with true connoisseurs of hip hop music, and with the backing of the band “The Noize” recreating Pete Rock hits, this Noisemaker’s edition should be a lively and memorable event.
