CLICK FOR THE 2010 HOT 97 SUMMER JAM LINEUP
Hot-97′s 2010 Summer Jam is one of the largest yearly concert events in the New York tri-state region, and always delivers a strong showing of hip hop, R&B and reggae artists, from top-tier megastars, to home town favorites. This year, the annual event will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2010.
Summer Jam 2009 saw A-list artists such as Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige, T-Pain and Young Jeezy as well as those who were, at the time at least, up-and-coming, like Drake. In recent years, Hot-97 has also opened up smaller stages at the event, for local and upcoming acts to perform in a sort of a pre-game, festival-type of environment, leading up the the main show.
The Hot-97 Summer Jam has been a staple of New York hip hop performances since 1993, providing a venue for the airing out of beef (Jay-Z, Prodigy, 2001), surprise appearances (Michael Jackson, 2006) and a long track record of high profile artist lineups. This year, the concert will take place at the brand new Meadowlands stadium, recently built next to the old one in Rutherford, NJ.
The lineup currently remains a secret, but is expected to be announced Monday, May 3 during Angie Martinez’ mid-day show on the station.
