There’s often a backstory.
FinaL OutlaW is an MC we have been in touch with, and keeping an eye on, for some time. We’ve gotten his Facebook updates, emails, seen him at the Hip Hop Subway Series, and watched videos of his appearances, and rants. He has recently released a video where he speaks on his upbringing, and his pursuit of hip hop, and is releasing an album this summer. He is known by many in the New York City hip hop underground circuit, and spits thoughtful, often politically charged and occasionally disturbingly vivid lyrics.
We like.
But, we haven’t posted anything by him yet, even though material has passed under our noses repeatedly, and from different channels. The reason for this, is the reason why we’re holding back on several strong New York area hip hop artists and organizations, waiting until we strengthen up a bit, and our manpower can support the proper documentation of said entities.
But today, we will pause from our pursuit of new school music journalistic perfection because we need to get this cat on our e-pages. Rest assured, we’ll have more in-depth coverage in the future, but since Final Outlaw is a personification of why we are doing what we are doing, we must ask that you check out his latest drop from his upcoming album, a song called “Rice & Beans”. It features Brooklyn’s Niles, is produced by 19 year old Levenkhan, who we believe is from Spain, and features cuts by Chinch 33, of Germany. Yeah. Deep.
(Oh and Niles, we see you too!)
