Diggy Simmons Signs Record Deal With Atlantic Records

As we suspected when we posted Diggy Simmons’ “Made You Look” freestyle and video, the son of rap royalty had “lit the fuse of a buzz”. It seems as if that fuse reached the dynamite, because word has come out that Diggy Simmons has signed a record deal with Atlantic Records.

While it will never be known how much influence Diggy’s father, Rev. Run of Run DMC, or uncle, Russell Simmons, had to do with his deal, the ‘Made You Look” release did at least show that young Simmons has talent, and could very well stand on his own.

The Run’s House co-star released his debut mixtape in December, 2009, entitled The First Flight, and also recently released a short display of his vocal styling over Drake’s “It’s Over” beat.
