Royce Da 5’9″ feat Busta Rhymes – Dinner Time

Royce practically gets a NYC these days, what with his Slaughterhouse involvement, and his upcoming, somewhat anticipated album drop coming soon (Oct. 20?), Street Hop, produced by NYC production legend DJ Premier. So, a leaked track with Busta Rhymes, is about as NYish as you get. (Though, we don’t know where Royce stays in NY, and we consider Busta to rep Long Island, no matter how much he says Brooklyn, so we’re filing this under LI.)

Now, normally this don’t happen, but in this case, we kinda think Bussa Buss took away from the joint. Track got a pretty badass guitar-led beat and Royce’s staggered flow rides the cadence perfectly. Busta’s awkward chorus adlibs detract a bit from the ambiance of the song. Now we realize that Royce’s flow that we just complimented, was pretty much invented by Busta, but when he unleashes the 3rd verse, it’s B-level Buss, at best.

Give it a go though, if you’re hungry enough, Dinner Time might hold you over until you get another meal later.
