NYC Roc Raida Tribute/Fundraiser @ BB Kings – 10/22/09

A tribute to the late, great Grandmaster DJ Roc Raida and a benefit for his wife and children will take place at BB Kings underground in Times Square, New York City, on October 22. Featuring performances by the X-men / X-ecutioners (Rob Swift, DJ Precision, Total Eclipse), Boogie Blind, Beat Junkies (Babu, J-Rocc, Rhettmatic, Shortkut), Craze, A-Trak, an Allies reunion, Z-trip, DJ Scratch, Roli Rho, I Dee, plus a special MC performance by the Diggin In The Crates crew (DITC).

Tickets are $20 in adv, $25 Day Of Show. Doors open 10:30pm. Performances start 11:00pm.
BB Kings is located on 237 West 42nd Street in Times Square

Take The A/C/E train to 42nd Street/Port Authority and walk one block east.
Take the N/R train to 42nd Street.
Take the B/D/F/Q to 42nd St and 6th Ave walk one block west.
Take any Greyhound, Chinatown bus or any other bus from out of town, to Port Authority, and walk one block east.

This event takes place during CMJ, however CMJ Badge holders are asked to make a donation. 100% of the proceeds from this party will go to Roc Raida’s widow and their children. If you can’t make it to the event, donations can be sent directly to Roc Raida’s wife via paypal at ladietye@yahoo.com. If you would like permission to organize your own Roc Raida family benefit, you should email roc4raida@gmail.com for the family’s permission.

Another tribute event featuring Busta Rhymes and friends will take place in November.
