It is quite possible that my best exposure to hip-hop was because of WBLS’ weekly Rap Attack show. Craig was a friend of mine, with an older brother, a basement hangout area, a boombox and a ColecoVision. All the ingredients for our weekly episode of That 80’s Show. I can remember having some cursory knowledge of hip-hop, but it wasn’t something played at home, so my exposure was fairly limited. But over Craig’s house, I received plenty good doses of the stuff, and been infected ever since.
