The showcase, which will take place at Southpaw in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn on Thursday, October 22nd, will feature a unique mix of legendary, established, and rising hip-hop acts, including headliners Souls Of Mischief, followed by Finale, Oddisee, Kam Moye, Trinity (comprised of AG, Sadat X, and DJ Jab), and Jern Eye. MYX Music Label’s own Keelay of production duo Keelay & Zaire, will serve as the official DJ for the event.
Audible Treats President and Co-Founder, Michelle McDevitt, said, “We’re excited to be able to bring so many top-notch names under one roof while keeping ticket prices low for the fans. We’re honored to have Souls of Mischief fly out for one special night in the midst of the West Coast leg of their Montezuma’s Revenge tour just to give CMJ goers a sneak peak of their forthcoming Prince Paul-produced album.” Co-Founder and Director of Marketing, Gavin Rhodes, adds, “Our line-up demonstrates the depth and breadth of our clientele and we’re excited to bridge the gap between legendary veterans such as Souls, AG, and Sadat with the leaders of the new school such as Kam Moye, Finale, and Oddisee.
As an official CMJ-sponsored showcase, up to 50 CMJ badge-holders will be permitted free into the show. Tickets, which can be bought at Fat Beats Records (406 Ave of the Americas in NYC) or at SPSounds.com, will cost $5 in advance and $10 the day of the show. In the coming weeks look out for exciting announcements on official media and lifestyle partners, special guests, limited edition goodie bags, and more.
